Our Story

Founders Lorrae Jaderberg and Katie Krais began working together as class teachers in 1999. They went on to support each other in a range of senior management roles within schools, including SENCO and Deputy Headteacher. During this time, they worked with Tania Virdie in senior leadership, who also became a Deputy Headteacher, moving to the Head of Schools role within JK Educate in 2017 and from September 2024 as Head of JK Educate.

With parents increasingly confused by the ever-changing world of education, and a lack of clear guidance and informed advice, JK Educate was formed in 2010 to provide much-needed support to families. The consultancy now operates across London and further afield, including advising families moving into the UK education system from overseas, and providing tutoring support for everything from 7+ entrance exams to undergraduate studies.

In 2022, JK Educate became part of the Dukes Education family. Dukes Education and JK Educate are closely aligned as organisations. They are both all about empowering young people through education, to flourish and thrive in life, and reach their full potential. JK Educate has influenced and brought about many positive changes in the tutoring industry, and the future, with Dukes, looks even more exciting.

With JK Educate becoming part of the Dukes Education family, Lorrae has retired, and from September 2024, Katie has been promoted within the Dukes Education family, to Dukes Plus Partnership Director. Having worked closely with Lorrae and Katie for many years, Tania continues to support their joint beliefs and continuing the JK legacy of excellence in achievement, high quality teaching and caring support for students and their families. Tania shares the combined vision that every child should be given the opportunity and encouragement to achieve to the very best of their ability and potential. This remains at the heart of all that JK Educate does.
