I have nearly 30 years of experience teaching KS3 science and KS4/5 chemistry, including 22 years as head of department in a thriving, mixed independent school in the North West of England.

Experience

I am confident with my subject beyond A Level and can provide coaching for more demanding papers such as the RSC Chemistry Olympiad and the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. I have also guided students seeking to enter medical school, helping with personal statements and interview preparation. I absolutely love chemistry and believe I have the ability to make what is a very difficult subject more understandable. I plan each of my lessons very carefully, with the needs of the student very much in mind. I have a huge bank of resources to draw on relating to all exam boards and will happily provide and mark extra homework assignments. I am flexible with my time and can deliver lessons during the day or in the evening.
