Helping children to become confident, independent learners is the most rewarding part of my role as a tutor.
I support children to develop strong, independent study habits which are life-long, transferable skills and I have successfully supported children to gain places at competitive grammar and independent schools across the London area. I am experienced at teaching across all subject areas in EYFS, KS1 and KS2, but my passion and specialism is teaching English, which I have taught to children up to GCSE level. I studied Classical Archaeology at King's College London before completing a Primary PGCE and gaining Qualified Teacher Status in 2003, as well as a Master's in Education in 2019. I have taught across the primary age range from ages 4-11 and spent ten years as Curriculum and Assessment Lead and Deputy Headteacher. I now work in Higher Education, supervising trainee teachers and MA students.
