The challenge of engaging a student in mathematics, discussing the content with them and being challenged by them, is something I have always and found interesting and rewarding. One of the advantages of tutoring, which I aim to use to its fullest, is that it allows time and space to establish firm foundations through an understanding of underlying principles and processes.
I have tutored mathematics for around ten years, for students from age 10 to adulthood. For much of this time I have also taught in a secondary school in North London, covering all age groups. Currently I am mainly teaching Sixth Form students, with a specific focus on Further Mathematics A level. I am very familiar with the school curriculum in general and university entrance tests. I have a wide knowledge and experience of extension mathematics, including the UK Mathematics Trustās competitions
